The Rebels of Tijuana return in 2011 with a new 4-track EP, "Un Foutu Hippie"(A Damn Hippie), a 14 minute-long firebrand coming straight from the late sixties, as if Jacques Dutronc, Nino Ferrer or Antoine had jammed with the Stones, the Pretty Things or any of those other Flamin' Groovies.
Recorded in the mountains of the Haute Savoie and mix/mastered under the heat of the lights at the PWL analogue studio, "Un Foutu Hippie" marks a return to the French language and those first teeny-bopper obsessions. For the Lyon date of their tour, the band will be supporting the Hushpuppies at the Echo Orange festival.
The Rebels of Tijuana are currently preparing a double album for release in 2012.
