In 16 years of "maëlstrom sonique" (83-99), 8 albums and more than 700 concerts, the Thugs were the ones who reworked French rock into the noblest of styles. "Bombe atomique en pleine poire", "747 au décollage", the Angers-born band's trademark superimposed hypnotic rhythms, frenetic sonic races, guitar walls, fragile vocals and heady backing vocals, and durably marked our spirits with a series of compat standards, as powerful as melodic.
