« Je suis un Nègre Blanc » ('I am a white negro')
Saint-Etienne-born and of Kabyle origins, Sefsaf got renown during the previous years on the musical scenenas the charismatic leader of band Dezoriental, with whom he will produce 2 albums and more than 300 concerts, on the biggest French and European stages : Les Francofolies de la Rochelle, le Printemps de Bourges, Chorus des Hauts-de-Seine, l'Olympia, le Théâtre Antique de Vienne, and international festivals : Festival de Montréal, North Sea Jazz Festival, Montreux, Istanbul... The Dezoriental adventure will end with the prestigious awarding of a « coup de coeur de la chanson française » by Académie Charles Cros in 2004.
What is less known is that Sefsaf leads in parallel a comedian career, namely under the direction of Jacques Nichet with whom he works several times as a comedian, singer then composer but also with Claudia Stavisky, Charlie Brozzoni.... In 1993 during the creation of show « Alceste » he meets Georges Baux.

A collaboration to last up till today.
Nominated at the French Molières for « best drama show composition », they receive in 2003 the Grand Prix de la Critique Nationale for the soundtrack of the show «Casimir et Caroline».
Finally, in 2006 he has a solo attempt with a new show «Désoxydant», which he writes and co-compose with Georges Baux, and for which he gathers a genuine musical and stage team. The show Désoxydant is set up with a residential work session first in Algeria, then in France.
Friend of Bernard Lavilliers', bearer of a committed speech and a very personal poetry, his words always hit the right spot and his artist's vision, always in-between two shores, is also obviously a vision of our society.
