Biography

Star in Western Africa, Raze City Plage 6-piece band formed in the 80's by Loulou, Gégé Da Silva and Hassen Filali. Strong with musical experiences, they mix with Raze City Plage afro-raï and French chanson, with a touch of reggae.

Their 1st album (« Les Enfants de la Planète »), released by Hacienda Records in 1999 is the accomplishment of several years' touring, studio recording and writing. The album is distributed in France by « Night & Day », and a tour in Switzerland, Germany and of course France follows.

They will later meet amazing Côte d'Ivoire musician Alpha Blondy who allows with his production structure the release of the album in Côte d'Ivoire. It's a complete success as the Côte d'Ivoire media and public fall for these musicians coming from the suburbs of Lyon.

The second album by Raze City Plage, titled « La Banlieue Chante » is firstly released in Côte d'Ivoire in 2003 where they tour for its promo before heading for a series of concerts in Nigeria. It is afterwards released in France in Jan 2004. This album is co-produced by the band with the participation of Lyon-based shows promoter Jean-Pierre Pommier (El Dorado&Co) and Jean Gamet (Hacienda Records).
