Biography

In Italian slang, "Morose" means "girlfriend". In English or French, a melancholic mood. Music of this italian trio is well defined by his name... Morose was born in 1998, the first consists of an untitled cassette, released by Mauro's new born record label, called Ouzel Records. In 2001 the band records its new EP, "Best Regards From Hungary" and joins various compilations released by Dhyana Records (Germany), Bliss (U.K.), Fighting Godzilla (U.S.A.). After playing some gigs around Italy, the band releases a vinyl 7" split with [Minmae] (from Portland) "Love is A Swindle", it contains 3 previously unreleased tracks, and it is released by Try Not To Look (U.S.A.). Luca Lazzoni leaves Morose in Autumn 2001. The first track of the session is included in the compilation "You Cannot Hold DIY...It's an adjective!", released by Ouzel Records, also starring June of 44. 
2003 brings a new album: "La Mia Ragazza Mi Ha Lasciato", and a new member : Valerio Sartori joins the band as trumpet, clarinet and bass player.
After a short U.K tour. in summer 2003, the band tours Italy again, sharing the stage with The Microphones, Azure Ray, Ant. 
In 2005, Morose recorded a new album "People have ceased to ask me about you", available on Suiteside Records. Then, they toured Italy and France. 
In the summer 2006 Morose entered into a studio for the very first time, to record “On The Back Of Each Day” produced by Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo (Larsen, XXL), and then toured France with the american singer Alina Simone.
The new album “La vedova d'un uomo vivo” will be out in 2009 on Boring Machines, Shyrec and Ribéss (Italy) and Travelling Music (France).
For the very first time it is sung in Italian.
