Biography

Today and for a while to come, Mick has decided to lay down his knapsack and his guitars in France, Lille to be exact, and it's here where he he created his most recent release.

If you had to categorize his music, blues-folk would surely be the choice, but only because no one has ever found a better way to express this music filled with feelings of painful love and regrets.
And if you had to find a family to adopt him, it would surely include Ben Harper (for whom Mick admits to having an unending admiration) as his divine godfather but it would be hard to stop there as Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens and Jeff Buckley would have to be on the list as well.

His unique stage presence, drenched in sweat, concert after concert (from club to festivals, in France as in other countries, opening for Sting, Paul Weller, Bob Dylan...) cannot be expressed in a simple comparison. "In the studio, I try to find the magic of the moment. But the energy that I get from the audience is unequalled."

Most recently at the side of Van Morrison at the Olympia or with his fellow countrymen, the John Butler Trio at the Grand Rex, those who discovered him on the stage positively agree: intensely talented, Mick Hart burn up the stage with a sacred fire that is unquenchable.
