Driving double-bass language into contemporary electro-acoustic contexts, French performer/soloist Merakhaazan (born Jean-Christophe Bournine) presents a personal view on string-music recital. With the help of real-time (auto)-sampling and the using of extended instrumental ways of playing - from classical bow technique to prepared strings effects -, his eclectic sound mixture draws upon styles and cultures : hypnotique avant-rock, electro-orientalism, ethnic pulses, electronic textures, soundtracking, baroque ornamentation, orchestral composition and noisy trance...

A singular situation where acoustic bass - the Grandmaof the orchestra - plays all the parts of a moving music via multiple electrified sound layers entanglement.
