Between rock and electronic music, KKWAC defies the laws of balance and gravity on a bridge of improvisation and experimentation.
Created in early 2003, King Kong Was A Cat is the solo project of Mathieu Lozinguez (also guitarist in post rock band Melatonine). Alone with his machines (groovebox, sampler, synth) and also melodica and musical saw, he creates affinities between electro, rock, hiphop and jazz influences. The alchemy thus produced, topped with dialogues and old horror films extracts, suggests the visual intensity of a scene, which he takes fun in naïvely de-dramatizing to play with our nerves even more. A hiccuping evil laugh, a communicative madness.
