After several band experiences among alternative rock and electro milieus, Guillaume Germond creates solo project IOM.
Between 2003 and 2005, IOM gets enriched with the experience and freedom to compose alone electro funk rock tracks and to tour with an atypical « electrolive one man show ».
His 1st album 'Radio', produced by Mathieu Ballet (Bashung, Miosec, Mukta,...) was released in 2OO5 on label Slalom Music distributed by Night & Day.
His concerts are built on a great energy and audience communication making each one a unique and convivial show.
A hundred concerts later IOM goes back to composing. Rock (influenced bt the 60's) surfaces again. Sharp sounds, energy and melodies are the leitmotivs for his compositions. The urge to defend his new tracks on stage with a band is here again and he naturally turns toward close friends Antoine and Vincent Livenais (ex caline georgette) and Momo (ex bell œil) who also love the vintages sounds of 60s/70s funk rock. The Freaky Men are born.
Though funk dance spirit of the 'Radio show' (a couple of tracks are covered by the band) era is still there, this time IOM and his Freaky Men take us through a rock trance. Based on melodious pop compositions (Amsterdam, The Cat the mouse and you...), the band also give us hypnotic improvisation sessions without limits.
During Winter 2009, IOM with the Freaky Men record four live tracks for label Adjololo records, as a preview of the coming album.
