Biography

Gravite Zero is the outcome of a two year collaboration between two aliens of French hip hop : James Delleck and Deufre Le Jouage. Having already numerous projects to their credit (see discography below) and coming from a hip hop new wave where creativity, experimentation, differentiation and open-mindedness are the rule, our two accomplices meet up on this different and somewhat peculiar project, far from rap clichés.

Gravite Zero coherently browse through different musical layers split up into little futuristic scenes of everyday life. Like a time and space machine, the project plunges you into a weightless hip hop where you can catch a glimpse of the future, establishing a link between cinema, fantasy and music, where images don rhythms and sounds. The artwork, drawn by Frederic Perrot, hints at the incomparable Siudmak, a painter considered as one of the key figures of fantasy illustrations. Exploring all the facets of Sci-Fi by means of derision, ranging from kitsch to poetry, this project, tinged with references to SF, will transport you to a visionary world of absurdity, in soundscapes of unknown colours. Light-years away from clichés, this record is way beyond artistic boundaries and features Fuzati, the provocative troublemaker recently signed on Record Macker (Air), Hi Tekk, La Caution's deep voice and even the internationally renowned Buck 65 (Warner). Coming from nowhere, beyond sounds and words/lyrics, Delleck and Le Jouage's opus gives us a glimpse at unexplored horizons of French rap.
