Follenzia

Follenzia is a multi-shape band created many years ago.

The band was formed after the encounter of Bertrand and Jérôme (bass and drums) during the winter of 1994/1995. This association will give birth to the 1st version of Follenzia who play their first concert in April 1995.

From then on, Follenzia is to undergo a good deal of changes : either as a four piece or five piece to come back to the four piece line up and even a trio or duo...

The band absorbed many influences : from jazz-rock and hard-funk of the early days, the musicians went through a whole lot of discoveries like free, Eastern music, electro, drum & bass, concrete music, naive music, punk, etc... The link holding this universe is this very personal way to improvise, to create adequate conditions for the meticulous deconstruction of the tracks, to stay "on the edge", put themselves at risk... Living music, in a word.
