Eterne Rima (in Esperanto: “eternally in rhyme”) is Igor Wasilewski, a Polish Esperantist living in Tokyo, an artist specializing in modern, new style hiphop. It is the current hedonistic hiphop, which talks about money and a luxurious lifestyle. Eterne Rima skillfully combines these themes with the matters of the Esperanto community, and thus appears as a unique artist in this field. Eterne Rima’s music stylistically oscillates between modern crunk hip hop (the genre called Dirty South) and R&B.
Eterne Rima became an Esperantist in 2000 after self-study of Esperanto, which enchanted him with its beauty and unique character. Before that time, already in the 90s he had created and sung numerous clubdance songs in English. In the summer of 2000, Eterne Rima produced his first demo-album Por miaj gefratoj with Esperanto hiphop. After that, there was a few years’ break, when due to his professional medical work, Eterne Rima did not have time to occupy himself a lot with his beloved music. However, in his free time he launched his second parallel clubdance project Lunatiko, known for Planedo Esperanto (Esperanto planet) which appeared on Elektronika Kompilo (VKKD53) released by the Vinilkosmo label. In that period he also did some concerts during local Esperanto events.
In 2007, Eterne Rima moved to his new homeland Japan (after meeting a Japanese woman), and already being a mature Esperantist, he decided to revive his hiphop activity. He has founded his own music studio Espo-Lunatiko and started the zealous work producing the latest great-sounding crunk hiphop with elements of R&B and writing ardent rap texts in Esperanto. In 2009, Eterne Rima contributed two songs to the famous Hiphop Compilation (Hiphopa Kompilo Vol.1). These are Amika man’ (a friendly hand), which he had made previously in 2006, and Batas la kalkan’ (the heel is beating), composed in the beginning of 2009.
The year 2009 was very fruitful for Eterne Rima.
In December he released a 4-title EP, Por la rep’ (for rap), freely downloadable, to announce the release of his next album.
In the spring of 2010 finally appears the awaited current album with new music from Eterne Rima: Sa/mideano (fellow thinker), which is the quintessence of purely Esperantist modern crunk hiphop and R&B.

Temas pri nuntempa hedonisma hiphopo, kiu parolas pri mono kaj luksa vivmaniero. Eterne Rima lerte kombinas tiujn temojn kun aferoj de Esperantujo, kaj tiel prezentiĝas kiel unika artisto sur tiu kampo. La muziko de Eterne Rima stile oscilas inter moderna krunk-hiphopo (ĝenro nomata dirty south/fisuda repo) kaj arenbio.
Eterne Rima esperantistiĝis en la jaro 2000 post memlernado de esperanto, kiu ravis lin per sia beleco kaj unika karaktero. Antaŭ sia esperantisteco, jam en la 90aj jaroj li kreis kaj kantis plurajn klubdencajn kantojn en angla lingvo. Somere en la jaro 2000, Eterne Rima produktis sian unuan demo-albumon Por miaj gefratoj kun esperanta hiphopo. Poste venis kelkjara paŭzo, dum kiu Eterne Rima pro la profesia medicina laboro ne havis tempon por okupiĝi multe pri la amata muziko. En libera tempo li lanĉis tamen sian duan paralelan klubdencan projekton Lunatiko, konatan pro Planedo Esperanto aperinta en la Elektronika Kompilo (VKKD53) eldonita de Vinilkosmo en 2002. En tiu periodo li faris ankaŭ kelkajn koncertojn dum lokaj esperantaj eventoj.
En la jaro 2007, Eterne Rima translokiĝis al nova hejmlando Japanio (post renkontiĝo kun japanino), kaj estante jam matura esperantisto decidis revivigi sian hiphopan agadon. Li fondis propran muzikstudion Espo-Lunatiko, kaj komencis fervoran laboron produktante la plej aktualan belsonan krunk-hiphopon kun elementoj de arenbio (R&B) kaj verkante ardajn reptekstojn en esperanto.
En 2009, Eterne Rima kontribuis per du kantoj al la fama Hiphopa Kompilo Vol.1. Temas pri Amika man’, kiun li faris jam antaŭe en la jaro 2006, kaj pri Batas la kalkan’ komponita komence de 2009.
La jaro 2009 estis tre fruktodona por Eterne Rima.
En decembro li publikigis promocian kvartitolan albumeton Por la rep’ por libera elŝuto, anoncantan la alvenon de la oficiala KD-albumo Samideano.
Printempe en la jaro 2010 finfine aperas la atendata aktuala albumo kun nova muziko de Eterne Rima: Samideano, kiu estas kvintesenco de pure esperanta moderna krunk-hiphopo kaj arenbio.
