Atomik was born in the heads of Jerome Sallenace and Karim Hamida. Musicians (drums and bass) in the band No Bluff Sound (discovered in Bourges Festival in 2004 and support of Louise Attaque's 2006 Tour) . The co-production af their first album in 2005, gave them the tast and the experiment for ixing and producing. Collaborations with other artists for re-mix or producing (for Louis Attaque, Fanta Disco, Dabi Touré, Wendy Code, Nourou, les Lascars) gave them the desire of a personal electro project: ATOMIK.
ATOMIK is based on two principles: the mixture of different musical influences (Funk, reggae, Soul, Hip Hop, Punk, Dub) and the exploitation of live music and voices, writen, played and recorded, to create a choir of samples. Their music is definitely electronic but sounds like alive and live.
With more than a dozen musicians, they have just ended this first album " DANCETROY " and ground their live on stage scheme lit by pictures, in trio.
Result is one delighting "explosive" cocktail, a sound accident grinding 40 years of music, a formidable effectiveness with a taste « in ancient ». Dancetroy, the pleasure of feet, and head!
The show on stage is in the endorsement, with the additional screening impact sticking on every title, orchestrated by Philippe Abeilhou, the third scoundrel of history. ATOMIK on stage? Fifteen musicians (instrumentalist and singers) annihilated in a portable, and re-orchestrated on sixteen lanes whith two heads who mix au lit middle pictures. Two sets of éléctro-funk and reggae-jungles lit by projections whith machines, low, batteries, percussions, guitars, keyboards, saxophones, violins and voice. A trio, of music and dance.
