Zouaves ?!

Released in 1991, two after the début album « Un peu plus à l'Ouest », Tryphon continues on his venture with « Zouaves ?! ». Also recorded at Studio de l'Hacienda by Stéphane Piot, this second opus includes 11 tracks of pure jazz-fusion.
Here again Gilles Coquard, Yves Pernet, Eric Moulin and Jean-Jacques Mouton, genuine virtuosos, fearlessly experiment with synthetic sonorities fir their wild jazz. With « Zouaves ?! », the members of Tryphon show once again that they are a key formation in terms of jazz-fusion. Their were indeed selected as best jazz-fusion band at Midem 1992.
