Recorded with dexterity in December 2001, and entirely produced by them, ""Zenzile Meets Sir Jean"" is, according to its musicians, the most accomplished records they've made in terms of sounds and undoubtedly one of the richest with its own diversity, from sung roots reggae to ambiant, wrapped up in the Angers-based five piece's personal touch : elegance, subtlety and power, topped by the ease and poetry of the vocals. Each mix was pushed towards an opposite colour ; so, between sung version of ""Sleepless Night"", with a focus on the voice, its ""Alternate Vocal Mix"", totally ambiant and drowned in foggy echoes and bass layers, suspended in the stratosphere, and its heavy Dub, the contrast is radical. Same divergence for ""Sorenama"", to which the vocals bring an African touch dimension while its ""Alternate Mix"" is a minimalist and classy avant-garde instrumental.
