Your Elephant Training Program, I mean the ones you have at home. The ones who only focus on rendering the heaviness of the bass. Learn to have fun with it : jump around, do a moonwalk, shake your booty, go night-clubbing and invade the dancefloor. E1000 ('Emile' in French) comes from Quebec and is the new discovery of Kito Kat. E1000 claims to make Dubstep, which is far from brave today. Still, it is what suits him best. No fake bullshit or false labels, Emile Gauthier plays with rhythms ans bass on this EP. Previously released in 2009 by a label unknown to me (les ondes carrés), Chez Kito kat re-release it for the French speaking audiences of our continent. The best moments of this EP stand in the contrasts which landmark his music, between very cols and electronica-typed synthetic strings, at the boundaries of psychedelism (cold silence) and floor scraping to make to whole a little warmer. Imagine Mick Harris on his last album who would have got fonder of melodies. Emile Gauthier tops him with his humour, taking his music not to seriously for the best. The first immediate hit remains before, after, now already featured on compilation Kito Sounds 2. The second irresistible track is definitely timetotalk : slow tempo, beat scraping, two notes and dazzling strings circling overhead.... The magic works throughout its coming and going.
