Volume : 5th album by Lab°
Five years' research and work, with encounters and discoveries…
Five recording places. Tweleve tracks.
One common denominator, the quest for pure aesthetics, for multi-dimensional sonic space with a strong seismographic sensitivity : Volume.
Volume : rock, noise, orchestral, experimental, at times more pop in terms of arrangements, always cinematographic.
Volume : weird maturation of vocal and instrumental tracks, with even more love, more hate, still no hate whatsoever, more will, more emotions…
Strong and fast, the guitars not only come from some schizophrenia on a westernian surf beach ; they deliver stunning variations on more melodic and more accomplished themes and nervously swell and soar high above like unearthly-powerful insects.
The venomous samples and sharpest effects come out with magnificence. The bass, as deep and tribal as ever, is only showing its Dub attachment through its stubbornness and create throbbing Mediterranean firestorms to carry the finest drums beats that flirt with a grandiloquent free metal. A beautiful encounter of genres to be lived intensely.
An album resembling some Kandinsky reproduced by a precocious progeria-afflicted teenager.
A whole life depicted before it's even been lived.
Volume is made of water, streams and rivers wild forces that will take you from the deadly rapids to crystal clear quiet shores...
Volume is a torrent ecstasy of in its fifth version.
