Nathan Symes and his musicians narrate stories via obsessive compositions combining tormented blues, uncluttered folk, assumed country and make rock face its roots with cruel realism. A certain simplicity comes out of this new album, as if to reach the essence of things and express the roughest and most intimate feelings. Tracks are less dark than before, stories are lighter and less tortured than on their previous record but the band is nonetheless far from losing their identity. The recording takes were done with « live » conditions to remain faithful to their stage sound - no instruments or vocal overdub.
On stage, they develop a strong dimension and take us from ghost towns to cabarets, like a mirror of life, love and death...
