The BRK Breakcore Show volume 2

Description

Jarring Effects invite the BRK crew, (Lyon-based breakcore activists that have also presented some great shows in the last few months...), and host their second compilation on Cd1d to support their effort and development. This second compilation could be seen as a step up from the first with more tracks and more variety in artistry but still the same intensity, packaged in cardboard sleeve featuring 80's oriented wicked artwork by Stereotype.

BRK has really managed to pack an incredible diversity of tracks on this second release. Indeed the idea was clearly to "demonstrate that behind BRK's interpretation of the word breakcore there are so many different visions of electronic music"

Some already well known or major artists appear: Zombieflesheater, Jason Forrest aka Dj Donna Summer (who needs no introduction), The VIP (who has been involved in DHR since the early days), Rank Sinatra (king of karaoke), Epsilon (one of the Bloody Fist allstars who started it all...), Princesse Rotative from Caen (France) and two of the main actors from the Ozzie Painfree Found Sound Institute: Main$tream and Killjoy. Some artists involved in the first project are also featured on this record: Eat Rabbit and Randomatik Blast from Lyon, Kodek from Latvia (a blasting track that samples his own metal band: Seborrhea), Passenger of Shit and Minikomi aka DJ Mastercopy from Australia.

This compilation also sees the emergence of many local newcommers: Matimpulsif (and his inebriating guitar track), Rektal Distortion who has totally lost it, Phasme, Svindrön and Skndr who deliver a touch of electronica-IDM. And as for the first comp, BRK have managed to invite artists from around the world: Uoki Toki (Russian 8-bit phenomenon), Maladroit, Infekta and DJ Rainbow Ejaculation (degenerated Australians, friends of the Toecutter), Jankenpopp (Eastern traveller on the road), Fractional (from Belgium where the scene is bigger than in France) and Unas (8bit grindcore from Switzerland).

Too keep it short, this compilation is really full of surprises, 26 tracks to broaden your vision of electronic music.
