When I first played Scelsi's music in 1992, I was stunned by its force. It resonated in the deepest part of me. Too late for a meeting man-to-man ; he had already moved on to other horizons four years previously. Yet the essence, the desire remained and I discovered, little by little, his way of thinking.

Scelsi touches the very soul of the musician who improvises ; his music arises from the inside of the sound.
