"So Quiet Street" is the first album of the band but also the first album released by Nationale 4 Records. What I like about them is their festive but not weak position: humor yes, fun, fun OK but also seriousness and real music. Their ska-punk is less centered on the delirious and burlesque side typical of the genre, that ends up lacking interest in the music, artistic and punk side.

Skating Teenagers are paying attention to that, in a spontaneous way. The ska is originally festive, with a cordial note, and is dedicated to a certain form of amusement, probably through the contribution of the brass section. It's indeed the case here. But next to that, the other instruments can also intervene and at the same time make their music more punk: from a rather melodic punk (NOFX, lagwaggon...) to a straightforwardly aggressive one ("fucking justice"). With Skating Teenagers, sometimes you dance, sometimes you hop, sometimes you can even pogo! If you have already seen the band from Ciney on stage, you will find on this album 11 tracks of their repertory. New songs which will sound familiar to you since you already heard them live, but also oldest ones like "Bogeyman" and "New One", not to forget the venerated "Disillusion" and "I Wanna Shoot My Bassplayer"... if it's not your case, you should run and get this album forged in sweat by their small arms and their large hands!
