SEL is Julien Jacob’s fourth album. The artist opens up a new door for us in his universe like nothing else; a place that develops along the path. Why “Sel” (French word for salt) ? It’s one of the indispensable elements to life. Essential to the body’s needs, it is the privileged witness of the human and animal adventure of our planet. Before, it conserved our food, now it flavors it. It was even a measure of currency, and now it’s a means to exchange services of similar value in a network that goes by the same name (in French : SEL: Système d’échange local / in English LETS: Local Exchange Trading Systems). Sel is the symbol of lasting quality.
