Sachem In Salem

Recorded in December 98, their first album "Sachem in Salem" (8 tracks on vinyl, 9 on CD) is released on 8th March 99. It gathers all the classical ingredients which make the magic of dub :massive reggae bass, hypnotic effects, ethereal percussions, crystalline guitars as a leitmotiv, multiple instruments as sonic illustration (violin, melodica, saxos, flute), keyboard strings and superb ambient voices ( "Alkaline O.D.").

ZENZILE assert their own style here, uncluttered, laid-back, a return to the roots and a resolutely modern dance floor music, genuine "clear line of Dub" enriched by the presence of guests (Boochon, Lo'Jo) and the hints in "Dub Vendetta" and "Pumpin" (Stranglers, Dub Syndicate).
