Emo-core heritage, a couple of finely scattered tough accents for a general bitter-sweet and jazzy ambiance filled with saxos and trumpets. A post-rock breath is also part of June of 44, with a supple and round rhythmic. The sound gives space and amplitude. The setting is sober.
With this first album, the three-piece becomes the spearhead of some intellectual and quiet noise, and, against all expectations, the result is simply stunning.
The work on sound is impressive. The musical approach is definitely finely mastered but nonetheless does not make the music boring at all. The challenge is successfully achieved...
