A qui profitent nos malheurs ?

Description

Originally from the Faourette precinct in Toulouse, CITY FORCE is created in1986. First dedicated to break, the crew opens itself to rap and, after years of creative evolution and following the development of the Hip-Hop movement in their city (work with youngsters of their suburbs, art activities centres), becomes CERCLE FERMÉ in 1997. In a world where first degree leads any form of thinking and discovery, the choice of this name - far from the idea of rhyming with a ghetto logic - calls to another level of conscience : the crucial moment of creation when you evaluate your situation and you try to know and reach your real identity ; the moment when you rummage through your thoughts and discover what you want to give to those you don't know like those you love. Without this introspection, encountering the other is often mere assimilation with the strongest personality, a globalisation of a form of unique thinking.

Power of the intellect, open-mindedness (debate does make things move forward), intensity of the lyrics and emotions, musical authenticity, will to make Hip-Hop evolve while keeping their integrity and staying away from commercial rap are the major features of this band experienced by numerous sets with Ménage à 3, Raggasonic, Fabe & Koma, NTM, Malka Family, Massilia Sound System, Zebda, La Rumeur, La Mixture...

The music, with slow and marked tempo, borrowing many samples from classical music, is sober enough to give a wide place to lyrics. Avoiding the trap of using 'initiated only' codes, bitterly poetic but never violent, exposing some enlightened social truths, the texts are a sarcastic analysis of an aggressive reality : thus, racism, the media, justice, school, institutions... are closely examined. The future stands at the tip on the pen...
