Just think of it:
- Next to You already existed 12 years ago
- Its identity became real in December 2004, like the page of a book turned over one evening; on waking up the next morning, we were somewhere else, free of all restrictions
- 6 duos that combine into a quartet through desire, pleasure, curiosity, the hazards of life.
- Next to You could belong to a country that doesn't exist yet, or one that has been totally ignored until this recording. It appears out of the 4 points of the compass like a source whose sound sweeps across the continents of our dreams; the musicians, wrapped in the fabric of their music, cannot help but avoid any ordinary performance installed in the present.
- Could it be the short form of a whole cycle lost one moonlit night, or a glimpse of happiness hidden from our minds too numb with sleep, too dull to perceive it?
Or what if it marked the end of the human reign, and the arrival of the giant squid?
