For 22 years, Lo jay has been performing with musicians from the rock scene and from the jazz universe, making her today an accomplished and atypical artist.
After having toured since 2001 (the year she took to classical jazz) through France and Louisiana as a singer and banjoist among traditional jazz band The New Bumpers, then toured and recorded a swing album with the Bordeaux Big Band and Leroy Jones (lead trumpeter for Harry Connick Jr), Laurence Lo Jay then decided to go solo and forls the New Orleans Jazz Addicts. With them Lo releases in the end 2008 with New Orleans jazz specialist GHB Records "Yes I know what it means!". A consecration for her who got to be renowned in the world of jazz despite her previous rock and pop albums (« Ma Trace » and « Lo jay »). The first French singer to release an album with American people in the very homeland of jazz ! Not forgetting the daring duet with delicious pianist Serge Moulinier who also gave birth to a successful piece of work in Oct. 2009 « Imagine a wonderful world ».
