"Karaoké Karaté Club" represents the work done by the band with Guillaume Quéméner, guitar and cello player in Happy Anger, Plod, Miss Goulash, activist from Lyon, initiator of the Lyon's label "Les 7 Piliers", and above all: friend; gone very too early to catch up Georges, Duke and Joe, little time before the recording. The guitar parts written by and for Guillaume have been played by Gilles Laval (Parkinson Square, la Douzaine, Chef Menteur, Triple G), Nico Poisson (Ned, the Rubiks) and Nico Matagrin (sound engineer of Happy Anger, Mei Tei Sho), all friends of him, in order to respect his playing, his parts who will never be recorded by him...
This record was released January the 21st, 2005 (big party in GrrrndZéro, Lyon) on the label Ektic (ekt007). Jean-Marie Godeau did the sleeve, Franck Testut the booklet.
Recorded and mixed by Didier Boyat at studio AGLCA (Bourg-en-Bresse), mastered by Jean-Pierre Bouquet at L'Autre Studio, it frees a very rock energy combined with jazz, pop arrangements, interrupted with improvisation's games, leting the listener lap this sweet nectar up...
