"As I Lay Dying" début album by Vox Populi is made of 2 CDs (one for audio, the other for video), synthesising the live performance of the two-piece which is built in two parts. Part 1 is based on the after war in Bosnia, with 130 colour or black and white photographs, presented, fiddled with and de-structured via video effects, either in animated or still sequences ; they are as many cruel reveries. Aline and Stupid Dog operate on machines for a 30-minute electro ambient noise dark set where Laurie Anderson bonds with My Bloody Valentine in a noisy odyssey telling the disappearance of people, images and eventually of sounds... Part 2 gets closer to an uncompromising techno/electro session with colourful and more aesthetic image sequences. A conception of dancefloor more into the rave spirit than free-parties for a return to the good old parties where you could dance without losing your eardrums or your brains.
2 CDs (audio + video CD-ROM)
