Fedaden

Even though the world of electronic music in France has already been charted by many musicians, Fedaden's approach to it is definitely more elemental and instinctive and on a much more human level than that of his peers. Though deeply his very own, Fedaden's music looks in the same direction as the soundscapes designed by such sound-obsessed forerunning acts as Fennesz, Biosphere or Stars of The Lid. Rather than dwelling in already-explored territories, Fedaden defines the sonic boundaries of his own amazingly organic musical universe, with sounds and layers of music that seem to stem straight from the belly of the Earth. Fedaden, is experimenting with an electronica that was wider in scope than that of his other outfit, threading intriguing and minute electronic gems suffused with his amazing melodic talent. His amazing flair for orchestration shines through his first long-player (issued on Nacopajaz in 2005), especially on tracks like Ocean or No Me Siento, while the seismic electronic track ‘Voilà' seems to brings us back to the origins of the universe.
