Nicolas Couval is music producer based in Dijon, France. After 5 years' writing dub reviews for dmute.net, he creates the Isotroph entity to conceive his own vision of deep music. He then focuses on the creation of sonic panoramas in his resolutely deep/dub techno tracks. Isotroph develops a sound that will delight all fans of Rythm and sound, Deadbeat, Deepchord or The Field.
“After the Moon” opens the EP and sets the tone : this ambiant piece, built in 3 acts, suggests a deep and introspective journey for the listener. Then “Biotope” and “Genese”, take a dub techno path where Isotroph brilliantly unveils his mastering of the genre, between hypnotic beat and ethereal strings.
This 300-copy limited numbered edition comes in a beautiful hand-drawn cover, serigraphed at independent workshop “La Paperasserie”.
