Dos Soles

The Dos Soles trio was born with the encounter of three musicians with totally different trajectories: Ladislav Szathmary, cellist from Slovakia graduated in Bratislava and Paris, Illya Amar, French vibraphonist, who belongs to a new generation on the Parisian jazz horizon and Matias Marcipar, Argentinian multi-instrumentalist with traditional roots.
Dos Soles draw inspiration from the variety of their cultures and personalities to compose their music, filled with folklore, tradition and modernity. Although, initially, the project was focused on Argentinian themes, the repertory has been enriched by new musical streams from other cultures (Vietnam, Eastern Europe and Spain) as well as by original compositions. Dos Soles is always preserving the musical entity and coherence of the searched aesthetic : a chamber approach, always giving priority to the quality of sound, taking care of the rhythmic schemes and leaving enough space for the improvisation.
