Dance of the Nerve

Neither more folk, nor less pop than its predecessors, "Dance of the nerve" is singular because of its upbeat tempo, its 70s electric guitars and a much clearer sound. Each song benefits from personalised arrangements (mellotron, flutes, piano, organ, brushes...) to better salute the quality of writing way above the average to be honest.

Julien's voice take its flight several times, carried by a vivid, almost alive, acoustic guitar. Mission accomplished for the Tahiti Boy. The work of Xavier Boyer is all here : open space, free the extreme modesty which has always defined Calc, and give this band all its strength while preserving the magnificent pop barnum which lives in Julien Pras' head.
