Civil Unrest

DESERT STORM is a Scottish sound system based in Glasgow, well-known for their trips throughout the world, were noticed in Europe for their performances through many teknivals. DESERT STORM was originally federated in order to denounce the Gulf War. Passing through London, the SPIRAL TRIBE sound system, under their impulse to liberate themself out of the system, organized the first free and gratis parties: it was the free Party birth.

In 1994, despite of the "Criminal Justice Bill" of Mrs Thatcher, they brought together 70 000 people in Trafalgar Square. Their libertarian approach also lead to their participation in a humanitarian convoy which took them to Tusla, in war-time Bosnia, where people gave them more than a warm welcome.

DESERT STORM is more than a sound system, they are a way of living beyond the conventions, through trip and music, between adventure and initiatory quest.
