After 2 demos and a couple compilations (including "Rhythms Against Racism" at ON A FAIM !), the recording of the first album by YO ! PIZZA JUMP finally takes place in the Summer of 96 at KARMA Studio (Angers) with Gilles Théolier (LV88, MUSH, MISSING LINKS). "BRUTAL MAYA" (CRASH CD 11), is released on 10th March 1997 and includes 14 tracks (among which a cover of "Murphy's Law"), in French, English and Spanish for a total length of... 33 minutes ! Needless to say that their hyper-physical metal Hardcore - with rap and fusion touches - is totally uncluttered : full power, heavy guitars and frank melodies and aggressive singing are on the menu !!!!.
