After “29 erreurs”, auto-produced album, Rature release their 2nd album recorded at Grrrnd zero by Fred Miclet during the Sumer of 2009 : “Boulevard des Gros”.
Rature is strongly hip hop influenced and sails between rock, punk and free-jazz.
Damien sings and handles the drum box. His unlikely hip hop flow-inspired chant leaves space for vocal improvisation and risk taking. The messages are above all in the musical intentions, not excluding words, phrases and meaning.
Sébastien plays a left-handed « virus » keyboard and the drums simultaneously. His playing varies between hip-hop instrumentals and rough drums. Sébastien set the scene while breaking it when becoming at times a free instrumentalist.
Rature build their tracks by establishing sound colours, rhythms , structures and characters with total freedom of interpretation...
