End of 2004, Psykick Lyrikah became a big sensation with their unanimously acclaimed first album. Following numerous concerts all around France, and just as the band was working on a more hip hop and electronic new album, Dominique Brusson (sound engineer working with Dominique A among others) offers Arm and Olivier Mellano to record the guitar/vocals formation which they had already presented at a couple of exceptional concerts.
Three days. Day one to finalise the compositions, lyrics and shape it all. Day two to record in conditions as live as possible. Day three to mix the whole.
Naturally free from any artifices, guided by an emergency going against nowadays tendencies, "Acte" is probably one of the most beautiful records that these two unconventional artists have made.
Without beats nor scratches, this "hip pop" project opened new doors. Not the one of slam put into music but the one of pop, blues and rock. Arm's flow remains rap but he has learned to widen the range of his emotions that his interpretations can stir up just like he does with his lyrics. As for Mellano, he is at the top of his art : superimposing layers of expressive guitars, he conjures up strange infinite landscapes in the listener's mind...
